Joseph is a story about forgiveness, patience, and God’s plan.
Joseph was one of the twelve sons of Jacob. His father loved him very much and gave him a special coat.
Because of this, Joseph’s brothers became jealous of him.
Joseph also had dreams in which he saw that one day his family would bow before him.
This made his brothers even angrier. They sold Joseph as a slave, and he was taken to Egypt.
They told their father that Joseph was dead.
In Egypt, Joseph worked hard and trusted God. Even when he was falsely accused and put into prison, God stayed with him.
Joseph could interpret dreams, and this gift brought him before Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt.
Joseph explained Pharaoh’s dreams and warned him about seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine.
Pharaoh made Joseph a great leader in Egypt, second only to himself.
Joseph saved food during the good years and later saved many people from hunger.
During the famine, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt for food. Joseph forgave them and helped his family.
He understood that God had used his suffering for a greater good.
Joseph’s story teaches forgiveness, patience, and trust in God. It shows that God can turn bad things into something good.
