Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler

Wisdom means knowing what truly matters in life.

A rich young man came to Jesus and asked, “What must I do to have eternal life?”

Jesus told him to keep God’s commandments. The man said he had done this all his life.

Then Jesus said, “Sell what you have, give to the poor, and follow me.” The man became sad and walked away, because he loved his riches.

Through this story, Jesus taught that wisdom is not about having more, but about letting go of what controls your heart.
